Julie Barudin, M.D.

Julie Barudin received a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (cum laude) from Princeton University in 1982. Her medical degree was awarded in 1986 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University. She then interned at Malden Hospital, affiliated with Boston University Medical Center. This was followed by a residency in diagnostic radiology at New York University Medical Center, with a fellowship in body imaging as her final year of residency. Dr. Barudin also completed an additional fellowship (following residency) in Mammography at this same institution. She is licensed in New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Delaware and board certified by the American Board of Diagnostic Radiology.

From 1991 to 1992 Dr. Barudin served as Assistant Professor of Radiology, Ultrasound Division, at New York University Medical Center. From 1993 through 1996 she was as Assistant Professor of Radiology, Breast Imaging Section at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. Since then she has worked in clinical women's imaging at Hackensack University Medical Center, and at Orange Regional Medical Center, serving as Director of Women's Imaging at the latter institution.

Dr. Barudin is a member of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the American College of Radiology, the Society of Breast Imaging and the American Association for Women Radiologists. She has contributed to presentations at the RSNA and has had articles published in journals such as Breast Disease and Preventative Medicine. She has also co-authored chapters on breast imaging for two published radiology textbooks.
