Lorna Blum, M.D.

Lorna Blum, a native of Philadelphia, received a BS in Biology from Pennsylvania State University, magna cum laude in 1977. After spending 2 years as a research technologist in immunology and virology at the Wistar Institute, she entered the Medical College of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1983 with an MD, magna cum laude. Dr. Blum completed her internship and residency at Pennsylvania Hospital, the nation’s first hospital in 1987. Her training continued as a fellow in Body Ultrasound, CT and MRI at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania until 1988.

Dr. Blum has held faculty appointments at the University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson Medical College. Most recently before coming to RadPharm, she was a staff radiologist at Crozer Chester Medical Center where she was the co-director of Ultrasound and medical director of both an outpatient imaging center and the Crozer School of Diagnostic Ultrasound.

Dr. Blum is a member of the American College of Radiology, American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Pennsylvania Radiological Society. She is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology since 1987 and licensed in the state of Pennsylvania. Dr. Blum has received numerous awards, is a member of Alpha Omega, Phi Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi honor societies and has published widely in peer reviewed journals and coauthored a chapter on liver ultrasound in an early edition of Goldberg’s Diagnostic Ultrasound.
